Early Detection and Treatment of Malnutrition Project

Completed

Reaching children and mothers in communities most at risk to screen for malnutrition and provide treatment, awareness, and referral services.

Project Overview and Indicators

The project relies on mobile teams and clinics that provide screening and nutritional assessment services in communities that have difficulty accessing health centers.

The teams detect malnutrition in its early stages, provide appropriate care and guidance, monitor children’s progress, and refer cases requiring specialized care. This is accompanied by educating mothers and caregivers about proper nutrition and warning signs.
